Silverstone F1 2018
Practice at the Practice
You would of thought as a Petrol head and a Formula One fan, I would have been along to Silverstone a lot more often to take photographs of the F1. However I have always been of the opinion that the circuit would be too crowded and it would be nigh on impossible to get any images.
I was wrong! Well lets just put a caveat around that. It was the first day of practice. so it was always going to be the quietest of the three days. There was no centre circuit access for me, as I wasn't going to pay the additional charge. However most, if not all the stands were open to the general public.
So the images included in the post were taken from the stands along the National Pit Straight, this is where they use to start and finish the races.

Stoffel Vandoorne driving the No2 McLaren Renault on Friday's first practice.
Sergio Perez driving the No11 Force India on Friday's first practice.
One of the issues this time round was that I didn't really want to move around the circuit. It was boiling hot (26℃) and I actually wanted to watch the practice as well. So I was a little restricted (self imposed) on the type of images I could capture. Looking through them when processing, I had captured the cars, but they were pretty much all on the same piece of tarmac. So I did take the liberty to slant the horizon some what dramatically in a couple of them to give a different perspective.
Some Hammer Time!! Lewis Hamilton in the No44 Mercedes AMG Petronas
Sparks will fly!! One of the McLaren Renault's bottoming out along the National Pit Straight.
